2020: I made these four drawings during a period of lockdown when I was confronted by feelings of solace and trepidation, my mind was taken up by mysteries of the gothic and sensations of self-worthiness. Through this period I let my imagination venture into a world of bodies that repelled yet became my friends.  The body without organs, alone tracing levels of vibrations, sensations, no mouth, no tongue, no teeth, devoid of all material matter just a nonorganic being, a spiritual presence exists as the activity of life has passed.  Gilles Deleuze, says of the line concerning paintings of Francis Bacon, which I relate to my phycological state of these drawings, free marks act like a diverted, turned and coiled on itself, representation. The line ceases to be organic; it encounters animalized characters and becomes indiscernible.  The line evokes spirituality of the body without the function and possessing the absence of organs. Deleuze sees the body in Bacon's paintings as the internal or external phenomena of the body. My work endeavours to create is not the head or body, but the abandonment of physicality, sensations of the immateriality that I see looking at myself beyond the organism of my body, the presence of absence looking down from afar a non-place populated in my subconscious.
