2022 Freedom at long last.
Melbourne my home state in Australia, having endured the most lengthy period of restricted living throughout the world with in excess of 266 days I am now making a series of works on YUPO paper it gives me the freedom to create, be a bit messy and the let the watercolour loosely fill the lines of these shrimps and mangrove series of works. The research for this project looks at the Anthropocene and man's intervention in the ecosystem. Man is destroying parts of the ecosystem to fulfil consumption for a prosperous society without much care for the mangroves which are so important to our planet? My practice continues on a trajectory of life and the mystical world however this project deviates back into the real world, yet the paintings and sculptures will take on a theme of surrealism.
