I see a powerful relationship with the way Mendieta uses her body with the earth to perform Shamanic like spiritual events in her silueta series of works. Mendieta uses ephemeral and temporality in earth’s weathering and decay of the images she creates ,at the same time she illustrates a connection of earth to body. What does it say, are we nature ?
