Porcelain sculpture using the body as a meaning to tie, encase, protect, assert a feeling of out ward emotion. / by Mark Edwards

This sculptural object was made at my studio RMIT Melbourne, (not complete) it’s intentions were to draw connotations of the tying up in a non threatening experience. Today i am looking at other artists works that have some fragmented bodily sculptures that reference a similar state. Mark Quinn British artist has made this amazing Onyx work The Invention of Carving 2013. The abstract quality and the rendered pink sensual and delicate state is so engaging. What i find interesting with Quinn’s work here is that it so un-like his oeuvre of other very impressive work he has made.
